Used up just about every last bit of this twill. I am out of coutil but I really want to get started on this corset and possibly have it done to wear to the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit in Dallas that I will be going to Dec 3rd. I figure this gives me a chance to practice sewing an S curve corset, make whatever mistakes may happen on this twill and then order coutil for a more professional outcome. So this is the beginning of something beautiful... 

Here is yet one more pattern revision to the S curve corset. I have gotten much better at drafting. I can now see the shape in my mind that will be created with the lines on the paper. I should probably do another mock up but don't really feel like it at the moment. 

Here's a pic of the 2nd mockup after the 1st pattern revision. I think I will do another round of this. I want to add more curve to the hip instead of the slope that it's doing and see if I can define the waist more. I think I will make it a longer line underbust as well - extending the sides and back.

This is going to take a while! I made a quick mockup from the S Curve pattern I printed out. It fits about mid bust and really accentuates the hips in a lovely way. I marked up the mock up where the bust, underbust, waist and hip hits then transferred that onto paper. I'm adding an extra .25" to each seam allowance and expanding the final back panel a couple inches. I'm also cutting it off to just an underbust. Once finished I will do another mock up and see how well it fits again. The finished product will be divine!

I picked up some lovely new fabric (for my S curve corset) and finished drafting a simple 10 panel cincher.

Check it out! I saw this link posted the other day and was thrilled because they have a free pattern for an S curve corset! Woohoo! I printed it out today for about $4 at a copy shop. I can't wait to make my first S curve corset :)

Still need to add binding and garters, but couldn't help to do a quick try on.

Ugghh! Here's about a grand in lingerie just in this picture by Agent Provocateur. It's a love/hate relationship. These prices are just way too high.
